Radiographic stent has been widely used for diagnosing and planning the exact position and direction of implantation. A lot of time is needed when using conventional method (i.e. diagnostic wax up and Omnivac). Recently, the use of 3D printing and CAD software was specialized in the manufacture and design of various dental prostheses. A previous technique using none dental CAD software (Meshmixer, Autodesk, CA, USA) is free but much time is needed for designing a stent. Thus, this technical report proposes a novel method for designing a radiographic stent using dental CAD program (Exocad, Align technology, CA, USA). As a result, a radiographic stent was designed with ease and reduced working time dramatically by using dental CAD program. Also, path of insertion and amount of undercut were set easily. The tooth library in the dental CAD program could be applied to the design easily.
